New Delhi, Oct 17: Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi with a chest infection. His condition is stable, according to a hospital statement issued on Saturday.
The 98-year-old leader is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is under close medical observation.

According to the hospital, Advani is being treated under the supervision of Dr Vinit Suri, Senior Consultant in Neurology.
Hospital officials confirmed that his condition remains stable and that he continues to receive medical care.
Sources said Advani was admitted to the hospital in Jasola Vihar, Delhi, at around 7.30 pm on Friday.

Lal Krishna Advani is one of the senior leaders who played a major role in the BJP’s growth into a leading national political party. He served as the party’s president on multiple occasions and held several key positions in the Union government.
Advani served as India’s Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004. His political career spans several decades, during which he became one of the BJP’s most prominent leaders.
