Chennai, Oct 15 Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Thursday called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at the Lok Bhavan here to formally congratulate him on assuming full-time charge of the state.
The meeting served as a courtesy call shortly after Arlekar officially took oath as the full-time Governor of Tamil Nadu earlier in the day.
Prior to this appointment, Arlekar had been holding additional charge as the Tamil Nadu Governor alongside his responsibilities as the Governor of Kerala since March 5.
He assumed the additional charge after his predecessor, R N Ravi, was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal.
