Amaravati, Oct 14 The Election Commission on Wednesday extended the last date for issuing notices and disposing of claims and objections under the SIR exercise from October 10 to 22 in Andhra Pradesh.

The revised schedule for SIR 2026 stipulates October 30 as the date of final publication of the Electoral Roll from the existing date of October 16, said an official press release from the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office.

“The last date for the issuance of notices and disposal of claims and objections has been extended from 10th October to 22nd October 2026,” it said.

Accordingly, all pending claims and objections received on or before September 10, as well as claims and objections received thereafter up to October 12, shall be processed and disposed of by October 22, said the press release from the poll body.

After door-to-door enumeration by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and elimination of dead, shifted electors and multiple entries, draft electoral rolls were published on July 31 in the southern state with a total electorate of over 3.7 crore electors.
