New Delhi, Oct 14 Rashtriya Lok Morcha president and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha has appointed Rahul Singh as the national president of the party’s youth wing.
The appointment letter was issued by the party’s national general secretary B S Singh alias Pappu Singh on Wednesday.
Rahul Singh has previously served as the national president of the party’s student wing and contested an assembly election while being active in student politics.
Kushwaha congratulated Rahul Singh on his appointment and asked him to work for the interests of the youth and the party, according to a statement.
Kushwaha also expressed confidence in Singh and said he will have the responsibility of taking the party’s ideology to the youth, creating opportunities for their participation in public service and ensuring their active involvement in the country’s development, including in Bihar.
Emphasising the importance of young people in a political organisation, Kushwaha said they provide fresh energy to the party and play a crucial role in increasing youth participation and strengthening the organisation at the national level.
“Youth are not only the backbone of any political party but also infuse it with new energy,” Kushwaha said.
Singh’s appointment is being seen as an expansion of his organisational responsibilities, with the party expecting him to mobilise young people across the country and provide a platform for their concerns and aspirations.
Thanking Kushwaha for the responsibility, Singh said the appointment is not merely a position but a commitment to the trust, rights, aspirations and future of the country’s youth.
“Youth power is the real strength of the nation. Working with complete dedication for the trust, dignity, rights and bright future of the youth will remain my priority,” he said.
Singh added that his priority will be to make the youth wing an active and strong organisation that provides young people opportunities to showcase their talent, develop leadership skills and play an effective role in issues concerning public welfare.
He also pledged to expand organisational activities to take the party’s ideologies, policies and objectives to people across the country.
The appointment has generated enthusiasm among Singh’s supporters in Chhapra and Bihar’s Saran district, the statement said.
