Ballari, Oct 14 A 29-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping into a canal along with her two young children in Ballari city, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near a canal in Millerpet on Monday, where the body of Latifa Simran was recovered, police said.
Her children are feared to have drowned, and a search operation was underway to trace them, police said.
A family dispute is suspected to have led to the incident, police said, adding that a case was registered at the Ballari City Women’s Police Station on Tuesday and an investigation is underway.
