Gurugram, Oct 13 Gurugram police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a man, vandalising his car and attempting to abduct his children following a dispute, officials said on Tuesday.
According to police, the complainant filed a complaint on October 9, alleging that he was returning home to Ryan Enclave in Bhondsi with his children after picking them up from school when some people blocked his car by placing a motorcycle in front of it near Aastha Homes.
The accused and his associates allegedly vandalised the car with an iron rod, assaulted the complainant, attempted to abduct his children and threatened to kill him, police said.
A case was registered at Bhondsi police station following the complaint.
The police arrested one of the accused on Tuesday, identifying him as Rahul Raghav alias Chintu (27), a resident of Bhondsi.
During preliminary questioning, it emerged that the accused and his associates had earlier had a verbal dispute with the complainant, and allegedly carried out the attack out of resentment over the matter, a Gurugram police spokesperson said.
The accused is being questioned, while raids are underway to arrest the other suspects, the spokesperson added.
