Patna, Sep 26 RJD national working president Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday urged Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to begin the process of recruiting assistant professors for the newly established degree colleges across the state.
In a letter to Choudhary, Yadav sought recruitment of teachers in Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Maithili and Sanskrit for 211 degree colleges established in the state earlier this year.
He also demanded that the recruitment process against sanctioned posts be started without delay and completed in a transparent and time-bound manner.
“Until regular appointments are made, an appropriate interim teaching arrangement should be ensured so that the teaching of the subjects is not affected,” Yadav said in the letter.
The RJD leader said availability of teachers in these subjects was necessary to provide quality education to students.
The appointment of teachers in these subjects was linked not only to employment but also to students’ educational rights, preservation of languages, quality higher education and cultural diversity, he said.
