Katni, Sep 26 A 40-year-old woman sustained critical injuries after she jumped off the roof of an under-construction three-storey building on the premises of the district hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Katni on Saturday, a police official said.
The woman and her husband had come for medical consultation for their unwell child, Civil Surgeon Dr Yashwant Verma told PTI.
“She went to the roof of the under-construction building and jumped off. She has been hospitalised with serious injuries. She is in a critical state,” he added.
Police said eyewitnesses have claimed the woman had a argument with her husband before the suicide bid.
The statement of the woman will be recorded once she recovers, Inspector Rakhi Pandey said.
