Thane, Sep 24 Five vehicles were damaged in a fire that broke out at a car workshop in Diva in Thane district on Thursday, though no one was hurt in the incident, an official said.
The blaze took place at Satyam Ford workshop located on Kalyan Road at 7:45pm, said Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) chief Yasin Tadvi.
Emergency teams comprising personnel from Shil Fire Station and Daighar police rushed to the spot with two fire tenders, one rescue vehicle and other equipment, he said.
While three vehicles have been identified through their registration numbers, two were completely gutted, Tadvi added.
The blaze was put out completely at 9pm and a probe into its cause is underway, the official said.
