Diphu, Sep 23 Two members of a family were electrocuted while repairing a faulty electrical wire at their residence in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Mondal Engti and Sumbee Terongpi.
Sumbee hailed from Dokmoka and was staying with her relative Engti’s family for pursuing studies in Diphu.
Engti was also the vice-president of a local unit of the Karbi Students’ Union.
The bodies have sent for post-mortem examination, a police officer said.
