Palghar, Sep 25 A social media content creator is feared drowned after venturing into the sea off Kalamb beach in Nalasopara in Palghar district on Friday, an official said.
Krishna Anil Vishwakarma was caught in the strong currents some time after he entered the sea, his family members said.
The incident took place at 12 noon, they said, adding those in the vicinity could not help due to the depth of the sea and possibility of currents.
Police and some others present carried out a rescue operation but in vain, Vishwakarma’s kin said.
Vishwakarma, a resident of Santosh Bhuvan area in Nalasopara, is a familiar face locally and is known for creating reels and videos on social media.
Search operations are underway, a Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation fire brigade official said.
