Jaipur, Sep 22 (PTI) The southwest monsoon has started receding from several parts of Rajasthan and conditions are favourable for its further withdrawal from more areas of the state over the next three to four days, the meteorological department said on Tuesday.
The weather is likely to remain mainly dry across Rajasthan this week, it said.
Most parts of the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions are expected to experience dry weather for the next five to six days. Most parts of eastern Rajasthan are also likely to remain dry during the period, although light rain may occur at isolated places in the Kota and Udaipur divisions on Tuesday.
In the 24 hours ending Tuesday morning, light rain was recorded in parts of Salumbar, Udaipur, Banswara and Jhalawar districts, while the weather remained mainly dry in the rest of the state.
Salumbar recorded the highest rainfall at 10 mm during the period, the department said. PTI AG SKY
