Mumbai, Sep 24 A car slid down from a nearby road onto the Belapur-Uran railway track on Thursday afternoon, leading to the halting of a local train, an official said.
No one was injured in the incident, said Swapnil Nila, chief public relations officer of Central Railway.
The car slid onto the track near the Parsik tunnel at around 3.30 pm, and an Accident Relief Train (ART) was immediately sent to the spot from Belapur, he said.
Details of exactly how the car landed on the track were yet to be ascertained, officials said.
