Ranchi, Sep 26 Jharkhand Women Development Society (JWDS) and Association for Parivartan of Nation (APNA) inked an agreement to strengthen women and child protection services across the state, an official said.
JWDS is an autonomous unit of the Women, Child Development and Social Security department of the Jharkhand government.
Project director of JWDS, Kiran Kumari Pasi, told reporters on Saturday that the agreement aims to reinforce the effective implementation of Mission Shakti and to improve the reach, quality, and coordination of protection, support, and safety services for women and vulnerable groups across Jharkhand.
The MoU was formally signed by Kiran Kumari Passi and Hasan Al Banna, founder president, APNA.
According to the Mission Shakti portal, a total of 11,151 women and girls have been assisted across the 35 One Stop Centres (OSC) in Jharkhand till August 31, 2026, underscoring the scale and importance of strengthening these services further.
“The MoU covers key areas including strengthening One Stop Centres (OSCs) through standardised case management protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), beneficiary tracking, and grievance redressal; strengthening the Women’s Helpline and related support mechanisms,” said Banna.
The agreement also covers capacity building and training for frontline staff and stakeholders on a survivor-centred approach; coordinated implementation of Mission Shakti components through a shared state-level operational plan; digital strengthening through case management systems, beneficiary platforms, and monitoring dashboards.
APNA will also help in community awareness campaigns on women’s rights and welfare schemes; research, policy, and technical advisory support; and departmental coordination with police, health, legal services authorities, rural development, Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) and protection officers.
“The partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that protection and support services reach women and vulnerable communities in a timely and dignified manner, and APNA looks forward to working closely with JWDS to strengthen systems on the ground,” said vice-president APNA Nidhi Suman.
The collaboration would help translate policy intent into practical, on-ground impact by strengthening case management, training, and digital systems that directly support survivors and beneficiaries, said program director APNA Hunar Malik.
