Aizawl, Sep 25 Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Mizoram on October 5 and inaugurate various projects, state government officials said on Friday.
Although the full itinerary is yet to be received, preparations are underway for Shah’s visit, they said.
The home minister is expected to inaugurate various projects, including those under the state cooperation department during his visit, the officials said.
Meanwhile, Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia has issued an order restricting the parking of vehicles along the route between Lengpui and the Youth Recreation Centre in Aizawl’s Falkland area on October 5 to facilitate the smooth movement of Shah.
Motorists have been asked not to cause traffic obstructions along the route, while all petrol pumps located on the stretch will also remain closed on October 5.
