Guwahati, Sep 23 The Assam Police has busted an interstate cattle smuggling network, leading to the arrest of six people, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.
He also said that several cattle were rescued.
“Team @KokrajharPolice, busted an interstate cattle smuggling nexus which has been operating with impunity all this while, but NOT ANYMORE,” Sarma said in a social media post.
“6 smugglers were arrested in two separate ops and a sizeable quantity of cattle was recovered,” he said.
