Jammu, Sep 24 Three rusted explosive shells were recovered from a forward village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district and safely destroyed by a bomb disposal squad on Thursday, officials said.
The unexploded ordnance is suspected to have been left behind from cross-border shelling several years ago, they said.
The shells were recovered from Palath village following information provided by locals, officials said, adding that the bomb disposal squad subsequently defused and destroyed them safely.
