Morena, Sep 24 Two boys in the 15-16 age group died after entering a water-filled quarry pit in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Thursday, a police official said.
The incident occurred near Kars Dev Baba temple on Pagara Road in Majra village, about 25 km from the district headquarters, Joura Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Nitin Baghel said.
” Vikas Adivasi (15) and Sunil Adivasi (16), after cycling, entered the deep quarry pit for a swim and later drowned. A boy who was accompanying them raised an alarm, which brought villagers and local divers to the spot along with personnel from Joura police and State Disaster Response Force,” he said.
The bodies were taken out of the quarry pit and sent for post mortem, Baghel added.
A case was registered and further probe is underway, the SDOP said.
