Nagpur, Sep 23 A resident doctor in the ICU of AIIMS-Nagpur was allegedly attacked by four persons following the death of their relative during treatment at the facility, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on September 20 after a relative of the accused died following respiratory distress, police said.
The accused, identified as Tejpal Singh, Uday Singh, Shubham Singh, and Sumedh Singh, abused the resident doctor on duty. They assaulted him and knocked him to the ground.
“They created a disturbance in the ICU,” an official said, adding that a case has been registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Maharashtra Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) Act.
No arrest has been made so far.
