Kolkata, Sep 25 West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday paid homage to BJP ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 110th birth anniversary.
In a Facebook post, Adhikari said, “My respectful homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji, the founder of Integral Humanism, a political karmayogi, a patriot and a guide.”
Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary is observed by the BJP as a day to remember his contribution to the party and his political philosophy.
Born in Mathura, Upadhyay was a key organisational functionary of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which later gave rise to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He propounded the concept of ‘Antyodaya ’, which means the “rise of the last person”.
