Jaisalmer, Sep 25 A 90 per cent-burn victim allegedly set on fire by her in-laws in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district died during treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur, police said on Friday.
Four members of her marital family, including her husband, have been arrested in connection with the incident, they said.
Khuhdi SHO Bhaguram said the incident took place at Korwa village on the night of September 21.
The victim, identified as Hina, daughter of government school teacher Purkha Ram Bheel, had been married for around 12 years.
According to police, Hina was allegedly doused with petrol and set ablaze by members of her marital family. She suffered around 90 per cent burns and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law have been arrested on charges related to the incident, police said.
