Guwahati, Sep 25 The Assam government on Friday signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with different entities to strengthen the startup and innovation ecosystem in the state, an official statement said.
The MoUs were signed during the North East Seva Innovation Challenge (NESFIC) here.
The first MoU was exchanged between IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Assam Startup, a government agency, to design and operate a three-year cohort-based accelerator programme to support the growth of startups in the state.
The second MoU, signed between Assam Startup and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), will facilitate establishing a centre of entrepreneurship in Guwahati, with facilities for incubation, emerging-technology laboratories and industry access, it said.
The third MoU was signed between Assam Startup and India Accelerator, under which India Accelerator will establish a fund pool of up to Rs 100 crore for startups from the Northeast, with Assam Startup serving as the enablement and knowledge partner, the statement added.
