Lucknow, Sep 24 Chhotelal Verma, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from the Fatehabad seat in Agra, passed away on Thursday, a statement said. He was 73 years old.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute on X and wrote, “The demise of Shri Chhote Lal Verma, MLA from the Fatehabad Assembly constituency of Agra district, is extremely sad.”
Adityanath prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this grief.
Verma is survived by three sons and three daughters.
He was elected as MLA in 1993 and 2002 on the BJP ticket. He won in 2012 on the BSP ticket and in 2022 on the BJP ticket.
