Jalna, Sep 24 A 38-year-old man was found dead in a lodge in Maharashtra’s Jalna on Thursday with an IV bottle connected to his body, police said.
The man, identified as Nivrutti Fartade, had checked into a room at Shivneri lodge near the bus stand in the city on Wednesday night.
When the door was opened in the presence of police, Fartade was found dead with an IV bottle connected to his body, said assistant inspector Sachin Sanap.
Police suspect a poisonous substance may have been mixed into the intravenous (IV) fluid.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, said Sanap, adding that a probe has been launched into the incident.
