New Delhi, Sep 23 A fire broke out at a house in east Delhi’s Raghubarpura area on Wednesday after a blast occurred in a refrigerator compressor, damaging household articles and killing a pet dog, officials said.
Delhi Fire Services said that the incident was reported at 3:36 pm in Raghubarpura.
“Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control by 4:30 pm,” the DFS officer said.
According to the fire department, the blast occurred in the compressor of a refrigerator, following which the fire spread to other domestic articles.
No person was injured in the incident. However, a pet dog died in the blast, officials said.
