Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 The Keralam government on Wednesday sanctioned over Rs 1,068 crore for disbursement of social security and welfare pensions for September to more than 65 lakh beneficiaries in the state.
According to the government order, Kerala Social Security Pension Ltd (KSSPL) has been directed to disburse Rs 957.93 crore towards social security pensions to the account of the Local Self Government Department (LSGD) Director (Rural) under 2 categories.
KSSPL has been directed to transfer Rs 530.96 crore to the LSGD Director (Rural) for distribution to 29,11,621 beneficiaries who receive their social security pension through bank accounts.
It has been directed to transfer Rs 426.30 crore to the LSGD Director (Rural) for distribution to 22,79,801 beneficiaries who receive their pensions through direct-to-home delivery.
The amounts have to be distributed between September 24 and October 5, and any undistributed funds must be returned to KSSPL by October 15, the order said.
Besides this, the government sanctioned Rs 24.76 crore for more than 8.46 lakh beneficiaries of various pensions under the Centre’s National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).
The amount has to be distributed between September 24 and October 5.
The government sanctioned Rs 110.86 crore for more than 5.62 lakh beneficiaries under various Welfare Fund Boards.
This amount, too, has to be distributed between September 24 and October 5.
