Hyderabad, Sep 22 The IMD on Tuesday said very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and other districts of Telangana on September 23 and 24.
In its weather warnings, the Met Centre of IMD here also said heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Karimnagar and other districts on Wednesday.
On September 24, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Khammam and Nalgonda districts, it said in a release.
In view of the forecast of heavy rains, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy instructed the Commissioners of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation, police commissioners and the Commissioner of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) to work in coordination and monitor the situation constantly.
The authorities were directed to take immediate measures to prevent water logging on main roads, junctions and residential colonies, besides other rain-relief measures, an official release said.
