Mumbai, Sep 25 A fire broke out in an electric meter cabin and two shops on the ground floor of a building in south Mumbai’s congested Bhuleshwar area on Friday afternoon, leaving one person feared stranded on the terrace, civic officials said.
The blaze erupted around 1.15 pm at the four-storey Bhairumal House on Mumba Devi Road, near the Mumbadevi Temple, they said.
Personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, 108 ambulance services, and municipal ward staff were immediately deployed to the site, and one person appears to be stranded on the building terrace, a civic official said.
No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident so far, and efforts are on to rescue one person who is stranded, he said.
