Lucknow, Sep 25 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday paid tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founding member Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 110th birth anniversary, highlighting his philosophy of ‘Antyodaya’ and ‘Integral Humanism’.
The chief minister paid floral tributes to Upadhyaya’s portrait at his official residence in Lucknow.
In a post on X, Adityanath described Upadhyaya as the proponent of ‘Integral Humanism’ and ‘Antyodaya’, a prominent nationalist thinker and a founding member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
Adityanath said Upadhyaya had presented a concept of development rooted in Indian culture and life values, under which the upliftment of the person standing in the last row of society was accorded the highest priority.
“The thought of Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya continues to be a source of inspiration for building an inclusive, self-reliant and Viksit Bharat,” the CM said in his post.
The birth anniversary of Upadhyaya, regarded as the propounder of ‘Antyodaya’, was observed on Friday, according to the statement.
