Gurugram, Sep 24 A man carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 was arrested in Mumbai in connection with the armed robbery of around Rs 25 lakh from the collection manager of a fintech company in April this year, police said on Thursday.
A team of the Crime Branch arrested Sameer Alam, a resident of Bihar’s Sheohar district, from Mumbai on Wednesday, they said, adding that the police have already arrested four other accused in this case.
According to the police, on April 29, an official of a fintech company submitted a complaint saying that the company’s collection manager was robbed of approximately Rs 25 lakh at gunpoint by three motorcycle-borne persons near Park Hospital in Gurugram’s Sector-47.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Sadar Police Station.
Earlier, four accused had already been arrested in this case. One motorcycle and one pistol used in the commission of the crime, 10.52 lakh in cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 1 lakh have already been recovered from the arrested accused, police said.
“We are questioning the accused and the case remains under investigation,” a senior police officer said.
