Budaun (UP), Sep 22 Two men were killed after their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding container truck on the Budaun-Aonla road, near Badal village here on Tuesday night, police said.
The driver parked the truck at the Kunwargaon police station and fled from the scene.
SP (City) Abhishek Kumar Singh said the accident occurred when Chhaviram, 32, a resident of Badal village, was driving his friend Brajbhan, 30, a resident of Lalei, back to his village; their two-wheeler collided with the truck.
Singh said both sustained life-threatening injuries.
Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the scene and transported the injured men to the district hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Police sent both bodies for a post-mortem examination, seized the truck and initiated an investigation.
