Lucknow, Sep 22 Chief of Defence Staff General N S Raja Subramani on Tuesday reviewed operational preparedness and logistics capabilities at the Indian Army’s Central Command headquarters here, the defence ministry said.
During his visit, Gen Subramani held detailed discussions with Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, and other senior officers on operational readiness, capability development and the evolving security environment, the ministry said in a statement.
The CDS also visited the under-construction Central Command hospital, where he was briefed on the progress of the project and its envisaged healthcare infrastructure, it said.
Gen Subramani also called on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, with emphasis on continued coordination and cooperation between the armed forces and the state government, the statement said.
The engagement reinforced the importance of close military-civil synergy in furthering shared institutional and dvelopmental objectives, it said.
