Varanasi,Sep 17: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the revered Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on Wednesday and offered special prayers to Lord Shiva.
Naidu performed the abhishekam, a sacred ritual involving the offering of holy water to Lord Kashi Vishwanath. Temple priests later blessed the Chief Minister and presented him with prasadam. Naidu, along with other leaders, distributed the prasadam among devotees.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Chirag Paswan and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. TDP MPs Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu and Sana Satish were also present.
The temple visit was part of the Varanasi–Vadnagar Sevayatra, organised to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public office and mark his birthday.
Speaking after offering prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Chandrababu Naidu praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and said that he was taking the country forward on the path of development.
Naidu said the country was proud of Narendra Modi and expressed happiness over celebrating the Prime Minister’s birthday. He said the decisions taken by Modi would contribute to the country’s further development in the coming years.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of collective participation in nation-building. He called upon every citizen to contribute to the development and progress of the country.
Naidu’s visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple was among his key engagements in Varanasi during the Sevayatra programme.
