  • Statewide agitations demand CBI Probe
  • Calls grow for Lokesh’s resignation over recruitment irregularities

Anger erupted across Andhra Pradesh over what protesters described as the “Fraudulent DSC Recruitment” conducted by the Chandrababu Naidu government. Under the leadership of the YSRCP Youth Wing, large-scale demonstrations, protests, and innovative agitation programmes were organised across the state, with unemployed youth, DSC aspirants, students, and job seekers participating in large numbers. Protesters alleged that the government compromised merit and reservation policies during the Mega DSC recruitment process and favoured those with influence and money instead of deserving candidates.

Participants accused the government of undermining transparency at every stage of the recruitment process, contrasting it with the previous administration’s practice of publishing merit lists and conducting recruitments in a transparent manner. The protesters demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities, strict action against those responsible, and the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh on moral grounds for allegedly playing with the future of unemployed youth. Youth leaders, student organisations, and YSRCP representatives submitted memorandums to Collectors and Revenue Divisional Officers, demanding justice for thousands of DSC aspirants and a comprehensive investigation into the recruitment process.
