An editorial by Vemuri Radha Krishna of ABN Andhra Jyothy has drawn sharp criticism for its objectionable and derogatory language towards women. “If tomorrow YS Jagan Mohan Reddy says that your wives are not your wives, they would blindly believe it and even go to the extent of treating their own wives as sisters and shamelessly look for marriage alliances; such are the spineless leaders in the YSR Congress Party!” . These remarks have been widely condemned as disgraceful, triggering strong backlash, particularly from women across the state.
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) staged peaceful protests in front of ABN offices statewide, demanding accountability and an apology. Protesters emphasized that media platforms carry a responsibility to uphold dignity and should not normalize offensive or disrespectful narratives.
