DSC aspirants seek Justice, YS Jagan assures all help to DSC victims

Tadepalli, June 3: Several DSC-2025 candidates from different districts across Andhra Pradesh met former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the YSRCP Central Office and detailed widespread irregularities, violations, and injustice in the DSC recruitment process. The candidates appealed to him to intervene and help secure justice for deserving aspirants who were denied appointments despite clearing every stage of the selection process.

Several DSC-2025 candidates from different districts of Andhra Pradesh met former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party’s central office and narrated the serious irregularities, violations and injustices in the DSC recruitment process..

Anigi Durgaiah (Polavaram Mandal, West Godavari District), a National Games Gold Medal winner, stated that despite his superior credentials, sports quota jobs were given to silver and bronze medalists while he was denied an appointment.

M.D. Shabuddin (Visakhapatnam District) said he was denied consideration because officials insisted that Telugu should have been his first language, despite Urdu being his first language and Telugu his second language, alleging that rules were changed specifically for this recruitment.

Indira (Krishna District) stated that despite successful certificate verification and confirmation of eligibility, she was denied selection. She claimed that a vacancy was diverted under the sports quota and broke down while narrating her experience.

M. Jagadeesh Naik (YSR Kadapa District) stated that despite securing a rank and attending the interview for SGT Urdu Medium posts, his name was omitted from the final selection list. He claimed roster manipulation and said officials refused to acknowledge his written complaints, forcing him to approach the ST Commission.

Nagalakshmi (Guntur District), a Karate Black Belt champion, said she was the only successful candidate among 37 aspirants from her area, completed certificate verification, but was later told all posts had already been filled. She also stated errors in the classification of her BC category.

Sharmila (Madanapalle, Annamayya District) stated that she secured second place and attended the interview for an SA post but was excluded from the final selection list without explanation. She stated that repeated attempts to meet Education Minister Nara Lokesh were unsuccessful.

Balakrishna (Kakinada, East Godavari District) said he secured 75 marks, cleared the interview and appeared in the first selection list but was later denied a job after being told that the vacancy had been allotted under the sports quota.

Lakshmi Parvathi (YSR Kadapa District) stated that despite being the sole eligible candidate for a vacancy and performing well in the examination and interview, she was denied appointment. She said she applied under the general category despite possessing a sports certificate and suffered severe injustice.

Durga Mallika (Amalapuram, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District) stated that even after a candidate ahead of her was disqualified over a fake certificate, she was denied selection and the vacancy was instead filled by another candidate from a different district.

Shravan Kumar (Rambilli Mandal, Visakhapatnam District), who comes from a poor fisherman’s family, stated that despite ranking third in his category and completing certificate verification, he lost the opportunity due to questionable sports quota selections and improper roster implementation.

H. Vasanth Kumar (Anantapur District) represented visually impaired candidate Gerivi Anjanappa. He stated that despite a Medical Board certifying 40 percent blindness, the candidate was declared ineligible. He also cited multiple procedural irregularities and negligence by officials.

Narasimha Rao (Prakasam District), who secured first rank in the OH category, stated that despite clearing all stages including medical tests and certificate verification, he was denied appointment while lower-ranked candidates were selected.

Ekambaram (Madireddipalli, Chittoor District) stated that despite being called for one-to-one certificate verification for an SA Social post, he was denied appointment due to horizontal reservation adjustments. He said officials at different levels passed responsibility to one another without providing answers.

Rani (Krishna District) stated that a vacancy meant for her BC-B category was diverted to a sports quota candidate. She stated that despite completing all formalities successfully, she was neither selected nor included in the rejected list.

Raj Kamal (Guntur District) stated large-scale irregularities in Physical Education Teacher recruitment, claiming that rules were altered to favour certain candidates. He also stated mass copying, inconsistencies in official explanations and lack of transparency in responding to RTI queries.

Veeraveni (East Godavari District) stated that a sports quota candidate lacking the required degree qualification was accommodated in the open category and later given time to complete the qualification, resulting in the loss of her opportunity.

Pratibha (East Godavari District) said she was called for certificate verification after qualifying but was ultimately denied selection after an open-category candidate was accommodated in a vacancy meant for women candidates. She also questioned the absence of published cut-off marks.

Satish (West Godavari District) stated that even after a candidate ahead of him was found to possess a fake certificate and the appointment was halted, he was not offered the vacancy despite being eligible and despite court directions in his favour.

K. Sharath Babu (Kakinada, East Godavari District) stated inconsistencies in roster implementation, stating that candidates with lower marks were accommodated in the open category while higher-ranked candidates were placed in reserved categories. He said officials failed to provide satisfactory explanations.

The candidates stated manipulation of roster points, irregular implementation of reservation policies, questionable sports quota selections, lack of transparency in merit lists, contradictory responses from officials and failure to address grievances. They appealed to Y.S. Jagan to help secure justice for deserving aspirants who, they claimed, were denied appointments despite clearing all stages of the recruitment process.
