YSRCP stands for values, credibility

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said a strong wave of public dissatisfaction is sweeping across Andhra Pradesh against the TDP-led coalition government, with people in every household questioning why Chandrababu Naidu is unable to deliver the welfare and governance achieved during the YSRCP regime. Addressing local body representatives and party cadre from Ongole Assembly constituency at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, YS Jagan asserted that despite massive borrowing of nearly ₹3.30 lakh crore in less than two years, the present government has failed to implement even a single meaningful welfare or development programme.

Debt without delivery

YS Jagan said the coalition government has pushed the state into heavy debt without translating it into public benefit. He pointed out that while the YSRCP government borrowed around ₹3.31 lakh crore over five years and delivered ₹2.73 lakh crore directly to people through DBT, the current regime has borrowed almost the same amount in just two years without fulfilling promises like Super Six. This gap between borrowing and delivery is now being openly discussed among the public

YSRCP Governance vs Present Regime

Highlighting his tenure, YS Jagan said his government inherited a financially broken state with barely ₹100 crore in the treasury and still faced two years of COVID, yet implemented nearly 99% of manifesto promises within a year. He said YSRCP treated the manifesto as a sacred document and followed a transparent calendar-based system to deliver schemes directly to beneficiaries without corruption. In contrast, he said, the present government has no delivery mechanism and no commitment to welfare.

“Loot, Share, Consume” Governance Model

YS Jagan accused the coalition government of turning governance into a systematic “loot, share and consume” model. He said key resources including liquor, sand, soil, silica, quartz, laterite and granite are being openly exploited, while inflated power purchase agreements and Amaravati construction costs—running up to ₹11,000 per square foot—reflect large-scale irregularities. He added that valuable government lands are being handed over cheaply, resulting in revenue losses to the state and enrichment of a few individuals.

No Action on Serious cases

YS Jagan criticised the complete lack of action against ruling party leaders in multiple serious cases. He cited the drugs case involving TDP MP Putta Mahesh Yadav and said no action has been taken. He also referred to allegations against Railway Koduru Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar, Amadalavalasa TDP MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar, Guntur East MLA Naseer, and Satyavedu MLA Koneti Adimulam, stating that despite complaints ranging from harassment to sexual assault, there has been no action in any case. He further pointed out that even cases involving a minister’s PA and controversies surrounding the TTD chairman saw no action, exposing a consistent pattern of inaction regardless of the severity of allegations.

Collapse of Welfare and Key Sectors

YS Jagan said the current government has dismantled major welfare systems. He listed the removal of English-medium education, stoppage of Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, lack of farmer investment support and crop insurance, absence of remunerative prices, and the weakening of Aarogyasri with over ₹6,000 crore dues. He added that schemes like Cheyutha, Aasara, Kapu Nestham, EBC Nestham, Thodu and Chedodu are no longer visible. Housing initiatives, including 31 lakh house site pattas and over 20 lakh sanctioned houses, have also stalled.

Political Roadmap and Call to Cadre

Stating that the coalition government has only about three years left, YS Jagan announced that he will launch a statewide padayatra after around one and a half years and remain among the people for over a year. He called on party leaders and cadre to stay connected with the public, fight on people’s issues and strengthen the organisation at all levels. He assured that in “Jagan 2.0,” party workers will be given maximum importance and governance will be implemented through them.

Confidence of Return to Power

Emphasising that YSRCP is built on values, credibility and a history of struggle, YS Jagan said the party’s strength lies in its unity and connection with the people. He expressed confidence that with collective effort and grassroots mobilisation, YSRCP will return to power, reflecting the growing public sentiment across the state.
